The range of creativity and innovation workshops...
Creatures of Habit. In this session, we focus on why our habitual thinking patterns can stifle creativity at work and how we can snap out of them to produce new ideas. As we run through the habits, we play a variety of games and exercises that allow participants to experience and explore new skills and reinforce their creative confidence. We also have awards and prizes for the most interesting/silliest ideas. We can even bring along some exciting live animals to make the workshop really unique!
Eye to Eye (Ideas to Innovation). Yes, yes it’s the wrong type of eye, but that’s what creativity is all about- using ambiguity and different logic to come up with new solutions. Making innovation work is often like navigating a mine-field of people that don’t necessarily see eye to eye. So in this session we look at the entire process of commercialising creativity. We run through a range of practical and fun idea generation techniques as well as evaluation methods. In particular, we look at the cultural aspects of innovation and how to foster a more productive innovation culture within your organisation. This workshop lasts a day at the minimum and is ideal for range of people that are involved in growing your business through new and better approaches (we believe this is absolutely everyone but then again, are probably biased!).
Funny Business. Comedy and creativity are very close relatives. If they lived next door to each other they’d probably be having boundary disputes! In this session we look at how humour can spur on creativity and why adding humour to work can produce great results. Creativity is not the only benefit- done right, a lighthearted approach can increase staff satisfaction, productivity and retention. We run through a series of games whereby we learn how to generate humour in typical work situations and extract the goods in order to make it applicable to your business. It’s not stand up comedy or learning how to be hilarious but instead simple techniques to help lighten up certain aspects of business and foster more innovation. [Have a read of the Funny Business series in the Creative Encounters Blog to appreciate how humour can lead to creative ideas].
Creative Facilitation and Projects. You bring the challenges, we bring the techniques and energisation (sure it’s a word) to get everyone creating brand new ideas. This is your ideas session, we just facilitate and make sure it lives up to its potential. It is recommended this activity is split across 2 sessions: one for ideas and another for evaluation- you never want to be mixing the two!
Creative Encounters doesn’t do run-of-the-mill training. Each workshop is designed to sizzle with energy and make learning come to life. Find out more about our creativity training ethos here...

Break bad thinking habits...
to unleash creative potential.
Creative Encounters has the answers!
Creative thinking is the ultimate enabler to make individuals and teams more effective, productive and adaptable at the same time as getting greater satisfaction from their tasks. Creative Encounters training workshops develop fundamental business skills through fun and interactive lessons and exercises. A truly cost effective approach to developing your people and organisation.
Creative Encounters has helped hundreds of people discover their natural creative ability and learn how to come up with better ideas for work. Emphasis is firmly placed on breaking established thinking habits that stifle creativity. By tackling habits, we are promoting change at an emotional level. This ensures creative thinking opportunities can readily be recognised in everyday situations as opposed to attempting to harness abstract and disconnected techniques.
Creative Encounters has a range of workshops, lasting from a couple of hours to a couple of days (see below for further details). Each has a different focus but is packed with simple, effective and fun exercises that leave a lasting impression. Or if you already have something in mind, let’s tailor your very own.
